About Maria:

Maria has always been fascinated by the complexity and resiliency of the human body.  As a health care provider, she enjoys taking a holistic approach to rehabilitation.  Maria is passionate about seeing her clients reach their goals and optimize their health.

Specialty

Maria has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of chronic illness.  She has extensive experience with persistent pain management, including conditions such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and chronic low back pain.  She also specializes in pre- and post-op joint replacement rehabilitation, and with general deconditioning.

Experience

Maria graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science.  She is certified in Anatomical Acupuncture and is a certified instructor of Empowered Relief®, the GLA:D® program for Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis, and the GLA:D® Back Program.  Maria also has post-graduate training in therapeutic yoga, clinical pilates, and neurological rehabilitation.
