Shaista Fatehali

Registered Clinical Counsellor

About Shaista

Dr. Shaista Fatehali is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who supports individuals navigating neurological changes, health challenges, and significant life transitions.

Coincidentally, Shaista also understands the challenges of neurological injury and rehabilitation from a deeply personal perspective. Her own family has received rehabilitation support through Chipperfield, giving her firsthand insight into the realities clients and caregivers face during recovery and adjustment. This experience informs her compassionate approach as she works not only with individuals but also with families and caregivers who are supporting their loved ones through complex health journeys.

Specialty

Shaista integrates evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma informed counselling. She provides a thoughtful and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and regain a sense of stability and direction.

She works with clients experiencing anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and the emotional impact that can follow injury, illness, or major shifts in life roles. Her work focuses on helping clients process change, rebuild confidence, and develop practical coping strategies as they adapt to new circumstances.

Experience

Shaista holds a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is committed to helping clients and families feel supported, understood, and empowered as they navigate recovery and life transitions together.
